Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Unqo Digital Solutions CC ("we", "us", "our"), trading as Ondjila AI, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit ondjila.ai. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device.

Similar technologies include:

  • Local storage — browser-based storage used to remember preferences and session state
  • Session storage — temporary storage cleared when you close your browser
  • Pixels / web beacons — tiny images used to track email opens or page visits
  • Fingerprinting — we do not use browser fingerprinting

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account across pages and sessions
  • Remember your preferences (language, display settings)
  • Track your course progress and resume where you left off
  • Understand how users navigate the platform so we can improve it
  • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • Provide relevant content and recommendations

3. Types of Cookies We Use

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled. They include:

  • Authentication tokens to keep you logged in (via Supabase)
  • Session cookies to maintain your state as you navigate the Platform
  • Security cookies to protect against CSRF attacks
  • Load balancing cookies set by our hosting provider (Vercel)

b) Functional Cookies

These cookies enhance your experience by remembering your choices:

  • Your preferred language or region settings
  • Your course progress and last viewed lesson
  • Whether you have dismissed banners or notices
  • Your cookie consent preferences

c) Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Platform. This helps us improve content, navigation, and performance. Data collected is aggregated and anonymised where possible. Analytics providers may include:

  • Vercel Analytics — page views and performance metrics
  • A privacy-focused analytics tool (to be confirmed at launch)

We do not use Google Analytics. We prefer privacy-respecting analytics tools that do not track users across other websites.

d) Marketing and Tracking Cookies

If we run paid marketing campaigns, we may use tracking pixels or cookies to measure campaign performance. These will only be set with your consent. They may include:

  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — to measure ad conversions
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag — for B2B campaign tracking
  • TikTok Pixel — for social campaign measurement

You can opt out of marketing cookies at any time via our cookie preferences or your browser settings.

e) Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services embedded in the Platform may set their own cookies. These include:

  • Payment providers (when purchases go live) — for fraud prevention and transaction security
  • OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn) — if you choose to sign in via these services
  • Video hosting providers — if course videos are hosted on external platforms

We do not control third-party cookies. Please refer to those providers' cookie policies for details.

4. Cookie Duration

Cookies are either:

  • Session cookies — temporary cookies deleted when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies — stored on your device for a set period (typically 30 days to 2 years) or until you delete them

Authentication cookies are typically persistent for up to 30 days. Analytics cookies may persist for up to 12 months.

5. Your Cookie Choices

You have several options to control cookies:

a) Cookie consent banner

When you first visit Ondjila AI, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences. You can update your preferences at any time.

b) Browser settings

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set

Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

c) Opt-out of analytics

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals your preference not to be tracked. We respect DNT signals where technically feasible and will not set non-essential cookies if DNT is enabled in your browser.
